lost significantly more
weight than the other group, their
body fat and waist size also
decreased.
How did green
tea did this?
It's not the caffeine, it's
a unique
substance, called catechins,
found in green tea to be the power behind
slimming.
Catechins are flavonoid
phytochemical that appear in
green tea. Smaller amounts
of catechins are also in
black tea, grapes, wine, and
chocolate.
Among other compounds tea
contains vitamins A, C, and
E and other compounds called
Flavonoids. This

polyphenols have a
antioxidant effect that
counter the effects of
